Intensive cultivation of Shrimps in ponds has some inherent problems due to changes in the micro climate. Lower oxygen level in pond, diffused sun light, accumulation of excreta and degraded biomass from discarded feed and other dead algae, dead animals, wasted supplements results in increase of Pyrites in the pond.

What are Pyrites?
Pyrite is Ferrous Sulphide (FeS2). Increased Pyrites adversely affect the pond health and growth of Shrimps.
