An allergy is a specific immunologic reaction to a normally harmless substance, one that does not bother most people. People who have allergies often are sensitive to more than one substance. Types of allergens that cause allergic reactions include pollens, dust particles, mold spores, food, latex rubber, insect venom, or medicines.

Fungi in the house-dust of houses in the less populated and densely populated areas of Bangalore were screened. The screened area included air conditioned closed office cabins, air conditioned office halls, drawing rooms, living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. A total of 74 fungal species were isolated. The highest number of fungal colonies were found in the closed air conditioned rooms followed by air conditioned halls, closed dampy roms, bedrooms. Aspergillus was the predominant genus represented by highest number of species followed by Penicillium.

With RADOSOM's Indoor Air & Surface Sampling Techniques, you will receive a definitive identification of all molds / fungi present within the testing/sampling procedures.
