Full-grown neem trees yield between 10 to 100 tons of dried biomass per hectare, depending on rainfall, site characteristics, spacing, ecosystem, etc. Leaves comprise about 50% of the biomass and fruits and wood constitute one-quarter each. Neem grows fast and is a good source of firewood and fuels; the charcoal has high calorific value. |
